From Chicago to Saint-Paul de Vence, just after Christmas, for a surprise winter wedding proposal. A nice way to avoid feet of snow and have a fantastic end of the year !
Winter proposal in Saint-Paul de Vence
They both love to travel and Goeff wanted to had the magic and art of Saint-Paul de Vence medieval town as its backdrop for his wedding proposal. All those narrow street with art galleries, the view other the valley are a gorgeous place for a romantic wedding proposal. So as to enjoy the place and a delicious food, they had booked a room at La Colombe d’Or. This hotel use to host artists and have art master craft on all the walls of the restaurant. From Picasso, Miro, Braque, to Chagall it is a real unique art collection. To avoid the crowd of the town we walk to a point of view, where you can enjoy the full town panorama. After the proposal, we walk down the town.
Even if the weather was cloudy, it was way warmer than Chicago and we had a great time
Champagne picnic facing Saint-Paul de Vence medieval town
As the surprise proposal wasn’t anymore a surprise, Goeff still wanted to surprise is bride-to-be. So after the session, I left them and advice then to go the the top of the hill (where he did the proposal) to enjoy the sunset. There my wife and I, setup a champagne picnic, with macaroons, tropical fruits, champagne, flowers and lots of candles. She wasn’t expecting that at all, so surprise was awesome for her. To make it even more perfect, sun was back and they had a gorgeous sunset.
